 TUVES - Terskol UV Echelle Spectrometer
 TUVES allows to extend the wavelength range available for MAESTRO down to 3000 Å. Altitude of peak Terskol (3100 m) is appropriate for obtaining spectra in the near UV range.

BASIC COMPONENTS.
  • collimator is a spherical mirror with diameter of 110 mm and focal length 4000 mm;
  • echelle grating with 75 gr mm-1 and 63.° 5 blaze angle;
  • echelle grating with 75 gr mm-1 and 75.° blaze angle;
  • mosaic R6: built from two 220x320 mm echelle gratings
    with 37.5 gr mm-1 and 80.° 5 blaze angle;
  • cross-disperser is 4° grating with 300 gr mm-1
  • cross-disperser is 7.°7 grating with 600 gr mm-1
  • camera folded Schmidt ƒ = 196 mm;
    Schmidt corrector and flat field lens were made of quartz.
  • detectors:
